Hi,

I used to maintain the Debian package of iiwusynth. Since iiwusynth was renamed
to fluidsynth, I'm in the process of new .deb for fluidsynth, libfluidsynth1
and libfluidsynth-dev.

My packages seem ok, they compile fine but I'm unable to run fluidsynth:

address@hidden:~/debian/iiwusynth/iiwusynth-0.2.2.cvs20021114/debian]$
fluidsynth
~/audio/VintageDreamsWaves-v2.sf2 ~/audio/JustCantGetEnough.mid
fluidsynth: warning: Failed to pin the sample data to RAM; swapping is possible.
fluidsynth: warning: Ignoring sample SineWave: can't use ROM samples
fluidsynth: warning: Ignoring sample SINEHI: too few sample data points
fluidsynth: pcm_params.c:2218: snd_pcm_hw_refine: Assertion `pcm && params'
failed.
Aborted

What might be the problem here ?

There's also a typo in the man page:

--- fluidsynth-1.0.1.orig/doc/fluidsynth.1
+++ fluidsynth-1.0.1/doc/fluidsynth.1

 fluidsynth can also be used to play a list of MIDI files. Simply run
 fluidsynth with the SoundFont and the list of MIDI files to play. In
 this case you might not want to open the MIDI device to read external
-events. Use the -n option for to deactivate MIDI input. If you also
+events. Use the -n option to deactivate MIDI input. If you also
 want to deactivate the use of the shell, start fluidsynth with the -i
 option: 'fluidsynth -ni soundfont.sf2 midifile1.mid midifile2.mid'.
