Hello Sonania,

As I see it, the problem arises with one single glyph, which occurs in all
the words you have highlighted in your text. Even though the problem is
limited to OpenOffice, it is worth investigating what is so peculiar with
this particular glyph and in which way it differs from Gargi (which it
shouldn't).

As I am illiterate in Devnagari (actually, is it Devnagari or Devanagari?
- I encounter both spellings, but would go for the one used by native
speakers), you would help me by telling me the name/number of this glyph
in Gargi. This way I would find it more easily - otherwise I have to sift
through hundreds of glyphs looking for one that visually resembles the one
I look for.
