    [smooth] Estimate of the rendering pool size.
    
    The estimate is based on the taxi perimeter with extra space added
    for local extrema.
    
    * src/smooth/ftgrays.c (gray_taxi): New function for the perimeter.
    (gray_convert_glyph): Updated, banding suppressed.
