Hi again,
Must be my lucky day :-)
I just found a quick fix for one of the nastiest bug of FreeType.
It's now possible to load embedded bitmaps even when the auto-hinter
is used.
The "fix" itself really looks like a hack but it works, and will be
replaced by internal changes to come in FT 2.1..
