Hmm, perhaps we should add an FT_Get_Status() function which fills a
structure like this

  struct FT_StatusRec {
    int32 s1, s2, ...;
  }

each bit of s1, s2, ... then is related to a FT_CONFIG_OPTION_XXX
macro.
