Hello,

I've released FreeType 2.1.5 to the FTP server and SourceForge yesterday
night. Though the web site hasn't been updated, you can start downloading
it right now. Note that this doesn't include some recent fixes (like the PFR
ones), since it's only the second release candidate without the warnings

Additionally, I've commited some rather important internal changes to the
font engine on the HEAD branch. These introduce the notion of "services"
(really "interfaces", i.e. structures containing function pointers), which
generalizes the export of dynamic interfaces by modules.

One simplification is that the list of all "services" is now in a new
directory called "internal/services". For now, only a small part of the
engine has been converted to this new scheme, but the rest will
  follow.

Hopefully, this will allow us to simplify many internal things within the
font engine, like the way glyphs are loaded, hinted, allowing reliable
support for the unpatented hinter, and more..

Another idea is to make the code clearer for maintainers, hackers.
This will however break the module ABI significantly, so authors of
third-party font drivers will need to update their sources to the new
scheme. This also might be a reason to call the next release 2.2.0,
  but we'll see..

More details on this when the migration will be over.

Regards,

PS: Don't forget to use the "-d" flags when doing a CVS update to
retrieve the current sources. You won't get the new directory
      otherwise.
