I just left the house and suddenly realized that the conversion from font to device pixel units could be wrong. Emboldening by at most 0.4 Pixels translates to at most 26 times 1/64th of a device pixel (ft_pos). I think I saw bigger numbers. Gah! Will check the code tomorrow and feel stupid in the mean time.
