[ft-devel] GSoC proposals stage is completed

Folks,


the deadline for GSoC proposals was yesterday – a big thank you to all
of you who have submitted something!

The next steps are as follows.

  . review of all proposals – only the `final' ones are looked at
  . assigning mentors to projects
  . applying for slots – note that we can expect at most two slots,
    being a new GSoC organization
  . eventually, Google will tell us how many slots we get
  . final student selection for the assigned slots

On May 4th we will announce the accepted students!  Before this date,
however, we are not allowed to talk about details related to the
process outlined above.
