There is no problem with C++ and Freetype (2.0.4 or various other
previous versions). I have compiled Freetype under Microsoft C++,
Intel C++ and GNU C++ with no problems. C++'s more strict nature
did reveal some small bugs in Freetype 2.X early on, but I have
long since submitted them and they were fixed.
I find it interesting how some parts of Freetype try to emulate
C++'s inheritance mechanism. I must say that I am now quite a fan
of C++, especially since the major C++ vendors are now quite good
about following the standard.
