[Freetype] FT redesign

Hi !
I was happy to read your announcement on the current work on redesigning
FreeType, which will add very cool abilities to FreeType, good luck with it
!
I wonder if changing FreeType so many of the current Face stuff that is
stored in the ROM (charmap, metrics and so on) will be used from the ROM
directly ?
If so is there any approximated time for this ?
