I've been thinking about it but haven't got arount to do it.
Though there is code in ttf2pt1 that does simplification of curves
in the sense that it it makes the curves to conform to Adobe's
definition os conciseness: it replaces each smooth up-to-90-degree 
arch with one curve and splits every curve that crosses the
quadrant boundaries.
