Hi
http://barre.nom.fr/temp/type1vsttf.gif
The above screenshot displays the "Nimbus Sans" font (kindly) contributed
by URW to Ghostscript (here, in Type1 and TrueType format).
I used Freetype 2.1.1 and FTGL to render it.
Does anybody have a clue why the '1' and '4' digits appear larger for the
Type1 version of this font. And as far as the TrueType is concerned, the
numbers are a complete mess. This is puzzling, since my contact at URW
checked (with ATM) that there is no such problem in the font itself. I
installed the TTF font and checked that there is no pb either when used
from Microsoft Word. Hence I suspect Freetype :)
I will send the font to anyone ready to perform the test and have a look at
this issue :)
Thank you.
Sebastien
