Well, the extension `.dll.a' looks wrong.  It's either `.dll' or `.a',
as far as I know.  However, I've never used gnuwin32, so please take
my comments with care.

Maybe this is a bug in libtool version 1.5.22 which I've used to build
the tarballs.  Try a CVS snapshot of libtool and/or report the problem
on the address@hidden mailing list.
