You might be interested in what you can do with high quality libre images...

I produced this the other day simply because I was annoyed that I 
couldn't find any decent dinghy sailing posters for sale ANYWHERE and 
figured it might be easier to make my own with libre photos from flickr.

Be careful. Print media needs to 300 DPI for it to look really good.
