few moments of your time in regards to a contract opportunity that I'm
working on at the moment as we have a client in desperate need of an
Open Source Specialist to help them achieve Open Source compliance for
an upcoming project release.

Job Description

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer - Open Source Management
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 2 months initial - possibility to extend
Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands
Rate: Dependant on Experience
Start: ASAP

About the Position

In this role you will be working within a team that is responsible for
Car Infotainment and Driver assistance for an Automotive development
department. The team develops cutting-edge technologies for the
securely connected car, with excellent customer and influential OEM
relations.

As an Open Souce Embedded Software Expert, you will support the
releasing of an Embedded Software product by helping to achieve Open
Source Compliancy. Achieving open source compliancy is becoming a
fundamental part of the release process and our client needs an
experienced software consultant to help guide this process and bring
knowledge into the organization regarding this topic.

Responsibilities
- Running open source scans on source code
- Analysis and fixing existing code on potential open source &
licensing conflicts
- Alignment with open source legal department on requirements
- Defining / adapting release strategy

Skill Requirements
- Highly experienced on open source / proprietary rulings
- Embedded SW specialist / architect
- Experienced embedded Linux developer (kernel & user space)
- Advanced open source checktool experience (eg. BlackDuck)
- Strong in communication on various levels (management, engineers,
remote SW suppliers, legal)

Beneifical Skills
- Yocto experience
- QNX

Please assume that the rates required would be for a consultant to be
based on-site full time in The Netherlands.
