and retry please.

A somewhat more robust approach is to

(progn (setq si::*code-block-reserve* (make-array 50000000 :element-type
'character :static t)) nil)

right before saving your image.

On amd64 (alone) gcc code cannot be loaded over 2Gb, regardless of
compiler settings it seems, and this cannot be addressed with a veneer
in the linker.
