[gcmd-dev] First use of gnome-vfs successor in gnome-commander: Open with default application |

Hi all,
in the previous days I had a bit of free time to work on Gnome
Commander again. In the master branch I managed the implementation of
GIO, which is a part of the gnome-vfs successor. \o/
The change I implemented makes use of GIO's MIME database instead of
the one from gnome-vfs. As a result, when double-clicking on a file
now, the default application will open that file, which is now the same
application as for the rest of your system.
That also means that we don't see the strange difference in default
applications between Gnome Commander and other file managers when
opening files with the default application. If anyone want's to try
that, just checkout the current master branch of Gnome Commander and
install it on your local system.
Best
Uwe
