I have the same problem. I need to use the 2008 toolset to assure compatibility of the .lib and .dll files (2010 lib and dll files are not valid in 2005/2008 projects). I tryied to compile it also on visual 2010 express, changing the Toolset from 100 to 90 (from visual 10 to 9) in general properties of the project, but it fails at runtime. Using 2010 toolset works fine!
The problem is that some tools (like cmake) don`t support Intel Fortran compiler 12  (yet), so if your project use Fortran and cmake, you can`t use this getfem lib.

Anyone has achieve it?

Hi Jaime,

There is no crash in test-2.0/test_assembly with msvc2010 here, it seems to works fine.

Dear All,

I've been using the last days the latest SVN code with the patch from Julien and compiling it in Visual Studio express 2010.

Your commit is working fine, I have been able to compile and run pefectly nearly all my work that I did previously with mingw, now compiled with VS2010. However in one part of my own tests where I used  an object of type genercy_assembly I get an error. Specifically I get the error calling the method assembly() from that object type.

After doing some debug without success, I thought to try passing the getfem tests folder and I reproduced the same problem in the test The test "" in the test-2.0 folder, which uses the same type of object and calls the same method.  The rest of the tests that I have tested work fine, but not this one.

Can anyone reproduce this also?

This test is working fine for linux and windows mingw, but not with the project as is it is now in the SVN.

If anyone has any clue about this issue please let us know.

Thank you in advance, Thank you Julien for your patch

These are really good news, I've been working for a long time trying to port

getfem to VS2008, solving some problems about compatibility, however I still

have problems importing some kind of meshes, I think this will help me to

finish this job.

On monday I will install VS2010 express and apply this patch to the latest

svn sourcecode and let all of you know my experience.

These are absolutely good news!
