Summary: Debian Packaging: gforge-web-apache will overwrite config files
without notice

Initial Comment:
Since the fate of the reports in the Debian BTS [1]
seems to be unknown, I'm reproducing them here.

Package: gforge
Version: 3rc2-1
Severity: normal

gforge-web-apache will overwrite it's files under
/etc/gforge/http*
without a notice.

The setup provided by gforge-web-apache will not work
locally because:

a) NameVirtualHost IP.IP.IP.IP:80 will interfere with the
NameVirtualHost IP.IP.IP.IP configuration in my own
http.conf. From
   my logfile:

   [Tue May 13 10:56:29 2003] [warn] NameVirtualHost
IP.IP.IP.IP:80
   has no VirtualHosts
   [Tue May 13 10:56:29 2003] [warn] NameVirtualHost
IP.IP.IP.IP:443
   has no VirtualHosts

b) I've got my SSL certificates elsewhere. From the
logs:

   [Tue May 13 10:59:07 2003] [error] mod_ssl: Init:
   (my.gforge.host:443)
Unable to configure RSA server private key (OpenSSL
library error
   follows)
   [Tue May 13 10:59:07 2003] [error] OpenSSL:
error:0B080074:x509
   certificate rout
   ines:X509_check_private_key:key values mismatch

c) <VirtualHost IP.IP.IP.IP:80> will collide with my main
apache site on
   IP.IP.IP.IP (note the missing port).

That means that I have to reconfigure the provided
config files.
