Maybe have a word

: typecr ( c-addr u -- )
  type cr ;
: ?error-exit ( f c-addr u -- )
  rot if
    ['] typecr stderr outfile-execute 1 (bye)
  then 2drop ;

Used as in
... ( f ) s" Wrong size for the card type." ?error-exit
