   Once the patches are ready, rms will have veto powers, but I
   hope that the changes will be mostly of technical nature and
   uncontroversial.

It would be good to outline beforehand what happens on veto.
Even better would be a way to capture the reasoning behind
the veto (also beforehand) in order to avoid it at all.

Thus, i think, although the list volume is high, we should
continue to discuss all the listed items anyway, vigorously.

My fear is everyone says "Great, thanks for proposing this!
I'll shut up now.  [later]  OK, here we are.  Here's the
proposed patch.  [later]  What, vetoed?  [whine whine whine]",
which would be uncool.

Re location, i can make it to Milan day-by-day on my own, but
would request funding for travel / overnight lodging elsewhere.
