sorry for answering to myself, but I'm still wondering if anyone has got
a hint what I could do to debug the phenomenons. I already tried to
read that the trace xlator gives me, but wasn't able to spot the
difference. How can I see if a cache hit or miss happened, and in the
latter case, why (supposed that I'm certain the requested file really
has to be in the cache)?
I would suspect that the effect has to do with the single process model
of nginx/lighttpd, but have no idea how to track that down :-(
Thanks, Sascha
