Hi John,

I think gcc-4.1.2 is too old for Ubuntu 13.04.  It should build cleanly
on Debian Squeeze (and appropriate Ubuntu vintages).  This is one of the
many reasons for working on the gcc-4.7.3 branch.  I've successfully
installed a package produced on squeeze onto Mint 14 (and also Ubuntu
(not sure which version)).
