The default is the first built handler in alphabetical order.
So it is 'ffmpeg' if you build it, 'gst' if you dont...

Btw, _theoretically_ (not recently tested) you can specify an empty
string in the rcoption to force the default. This trick is used
in testsuite/gnashrc to "undo" an eventual settin in the user's gnashrc.

Same things (both) apply to Renderer rcsetting.
