Sorry do disturb you with this lame question, but...

...the Win32 binaries (dated 13-Aug-2006) here http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/snapshots/
does not seem to work. I'm running Windows XP.

Is this a known problem, or have I missed something? Here's what I get:

C:\gnash>gnash -h
The system cannot execute the specified program.
