Which version are you trying to compile? 0.7.2? One of the cvs snapshots?
In any case I suggest you use the latest cvs snapshop if you can

It looks like your system is lacking the basic Unix tools

and a C compiler. You need to install more software before you can
compile gnash... or look for a precompiled binary package somewhere
that you can install.
