See the extra slash in the log?
It should be http:// something.

mm... try printing the URL argument passed to CommonGetUrl in
See around line 1825.
At line 1828 this is resolved against the base url, print it again.
Also, print the different elements of the url., url.path(), url.protocol()

Domain names are case insensitive so the check should be:
SECURITY: Load from host granted (default).
SECURITY: Load from host forbidden (blacklisted).

There was:
log_error(_("get url: target=%s, url=%s (%s)"), target_string.c_str(),
               url.str().c_str(), url_c);

in server/vm/ASHandlers.cpp
so I made it a printf. :-)
and added:
printf( "passed=%s\n", url_c );

printf( "host=%s, path=%s, protocol=%s\n",
url.hostname()..c_str(), url.path().c_str(), url.protocol().c_str() );

get url: target=footeradvertbar, url=http:///DNSystem/advert.aspx (http:///DNSystem/advert.aspx)
host=, path=/DNSystem/advert.aspx, protocol=http
Launching URL... firefox -remote "openurl(http:///DNSystem/advert.aspx)"
