Does Gnash build for anyone else if you configure with --disable-nls?

I didn't configure with --disable-nls, but that's how things ended up,
as evidenced by my configure output (see below) and my config.h:

    /* #undef ENABLE_NLS */

    checking whether NLS is requested... yes
    checking for GNU gettext in libc... no
    checking for iconv... yes
    checking how to link with libiconv... -liconv
    checking for GNU gettext in libintl... no
    checking whether to use NLS... no

Is this simply a problem with autoconf not finding my libintl?  Still,
if it decides not to use NLS, Gnash should still build, no?
