I'd like to add to the request for a regular Win32 build. I do a
quite a
bit of Flash development for a living, mostly on a Windows XP machine
(my work machine) and Mac (my coworkers' machines). Although I am a
happy Ubuntu user at home, I simply don't have to time to work regular
testing on Ubuntu with Gnash into my work process. It would be great
to
have a Windows build of the player (in plugin form or standalone)
that I
could use for regular testing during normal Flash development.
In addition though, it would be great if there was a way to install
both
the Flash Player and Gnash at the same time, without having them
compete
over which gets to be the default player for swf files. In other
words,
it'd be great if there was a mode that would allow Gnash to only play
what developers want it to play, through markup, or some kind of easy
way to configure it, or turn it on and off (even if that means a
special
development version only - I'm not suggesting you change your strategy
for final distribution).
