[Gnash-dev] Gnash plugin isn't offered by Firefox 3?

I'm running Firefox 3 on Ubuntu Hardy (installed in the last few
days), and looked under Tools -> Add-ons. That pops up a window in
which I can go to "Get Add-ons" and search for "flash" or "gnash". No
gnash option comes up.

Similarly, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7
(the Add-Ons "Plugins" page) offers Adobe Flash Player, but not Gnash.

I haven't figured out how you submit new plugins to the Firefox team,
but presumably they'd take Gnash 0.8.3. Possibly if they liked it,
they'd even recommend it toward the bottom on the plugins home page,
as a free-as-in-freedom alternative to the Adobe flash player they
also recommend.

Way over here, Gnash 0.8.2 is listed as "Supported" for 64-bit x86's:

  http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux-amd64.html#gnash

But I took a very convoluted path to find that page, and gnash ISN'T
listed in the corresponding page for x86-32.

        John
