Hi guys!

Well, here's the start of my bug list contribution :)

Okay, here's a game we made earlier this year that won 1st place in
the Asia Pacific region for a mobile gamedev contest sponsored by
Adobe and Playyoo.com, UFO Catcher: Barnyard Abduction. Sorry, no
preloader. It's a Flash Lite game meant for phones that run Flash Lite
2.0. Flash Lite 2.0 content is basically slightly modified Flash 7
content, and they run perfectly fine in Adobe Flash desktop browser
players.

Anyway, here it is:

http://www.zengraffiti.com/games/ufoCatcher.html

Tested in Gnash 0.8.3 running on both Fedora 9 and OLPC Sugar LiveCD
Sept.19 2008 joyride build, in virtualbox. (oddly, Gnash in that OLPC
joyride liveCD shipped with sound/MP3 playback enabled)
Can you guys check? In Fedora 9 in Firefox 3, I'm getting horrible
screeching static in between fluctuating sound levels for the
background music. In OLPC livecd, I'm getting fluctuating sound
levels. The game's using a looped MP3 as background music, published
as a Flash Lite 2.0 swf with Actionscript 2.0.

I know Flash Lite files aren't standard Flash content, but these
things run pretty fine on Adobe browser plugins.

Next up, I wrote this Flash DJing experiment at http://www.object404.com/music

You'll have to pardon the lack of preloaders again, it was a dirty
experiment I wrote at the time and wasn't able to write a proper
preloader since the audio would only run properly if the sound clips
in the library were embedded in the 1st frame. It's around 940kb in
size I think, so you have to wait a bit for it to load.
Anyway, this one is a DJ toy. Basically, it plays separate music
channels and SFX that are looped and are synched to a silent wav file
to track the "playhead" dynamically. The individual sound objects are
made to start playing at specific times in miliseconds where the
"playhead" is at, and music looping is triggered by
onSoundComplete(). Published in Flash 8, Actionscript 2.

With Gnash 0.8.3 in Fedora, the sound loops only play once and do not
loop. Problems with triggering onSoundComplete()?

Regards,

-Naz
