Nope, there are two different programs:
/v/ loads the http://s.ytimg.com/yt/swf/cps-vfl123151.swf script
and this is the traditional viewer without ActionScript 3.
/watch?v= embeds http://s.ytimg.com/yt/swf/watch_as3-vfl125459.swf
and this is the new viewer with ActionScript 3. swfmill
reports SYMBOLCLASS and DOABCDEFINE tags there.
A better workaround for privoxy (www.privoxy.org) users:
put at the end of your "user.action" file:
{ +filter{downgradeyoutube} }
.youtube.com
put at the end of your "user.filter" file:
FILTER: downgradeyoutube
