Thanks for reporting this. This is in fact a known problem 
that has been swept under the carpet because it is hard to 
fix wiuthout employing some kind of dynamic form on the 
query page or checking the "Sort By" field against the 
contents of the "Column Display" field and alerting the 
user if there is an inconcistency. The first solution is 
too complicated and I am not sure that the second solution 
really adds any value -- it might simply end up annoying 
people.
