Depends on how you define freedom.

The GPLv3 draft 2 explicitly allows trademak restrictions.

section 7b:

Doesn't really depend.
* The artwork is not free (logo)
* The name (Firefox) can only be used with the artwork
* We can't use the artwork. its not free
* There for we cant use the Name.
* Its not free enough as is.

Yes we can use the source.
No we cant use the name "Firefox"
