Hello all,

I have been following gnewsense for a short time and I must say that the
project really appeals to me. I have installed it on my older desktop
and intend to move to it as my main distro soon. But I digress...

I think that part of the misunderstanding about the amount of hard disk
space needed, is in the fact that there is no "installation" section to
the web site. Installing from a live cd is usually a trivial affair, but
people will often check the website for install information anyway. This
is where the "create you own distro" section causes some confusion as it
could be interpreted as "create your own distro to run gnewsense on your
computer" or in other words "install gnewsense". (Although I think it is
pretty clear if you pay attention to what you read!)

I think maybe a small install howto (I see one is coming to the wiki,
but maybe link it from the home page too?) and some minor changes to the
"create your own distro" page to make the purpose clearer should do the
trick. I may be stating the obvious, but I thought i would anyway
because as a relative newcomer to gnu/Linux I still religiously read
software installation guides even though I am quite familiar with the
process.

Anyway thanks for a great "free as in freedom" distro - I for one am
sold! Also I hope my comments aren't too unwelcome, I couldn't help
myself because I think gnewsense is great and had to give my 2 cents!

Cheers,

Lee
