well, as long as all works well the differences between jounralling
and non-journalling are not huge, although their characteristics in
how they handle small or huge files are different.

I don't think I would switch to ReiserFS because tools like parted have
such limited support for it.
Ok, but there are plenty of good Reiser tools out there (check
'apt-cache search reiser')
but if you are happy with ext2 (which is rock solid and proven) - just
stay with it!
