I have been searching for virtual COM ports on the net for a while and found
nothing usable sofar. Writing such a driver is not a trivial task and
involves quite some work, especially all the IOCTL handling needs some
carefull thinking. I'm not an expert on drivers and sofar, I didn't dare to
start developing one.

Also check Google groups, there's a lot of talking about it, but nothing
ready made. If you are still interested, I would suggest that you at least
install the Windows DDK and start going through the samples and
documentation. The Microsoft online help (MSDN) might also be helpfull since
it covers the DDK's to (http://www.microsoft.com/msdn).
