Using gnokiid as a virtual modem

Hi!!

I have tried istalling a gnokiid as per the istallation instruction provide in config.html.

For configuataion as virtual modem I followed the instruction from " How to configure gnokii driver for data connection?"such as

groupadd..

chown...

chnmod....

& then gnokiid

after this I mobiles display shows " Assecerry connected"

but on the terminal no message appears saying 'mgnokiidev has been run to create /dev/gnokii....'!!!

& programs stops there, looks like waiting for some input from the user.

pressing enter gives " Error" message

I have tried using the minicom with the result " minicom: cannot open /dev/gnokii: Input/Output error"

Can anybody help me ?
