PB :make libmysql.so

Hi,
I'm following the article that came in Feb issue of
PHP Architect magazine - 'Writing SMS Applications
with PHP and Gnokii'. Now in setting up smsd with
MySQL. There they asked to give the following
 commands:
1. make
2. make libmysql.so
3. make install

i am using gnokii 0.6.0

when i type 'make' to build executables for smsd
i got the following errors...
please help me
