I'm not sending a line break. I was just wondering if one was being added somewhere. The following example shell command causes the error:

echo "XxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxx" | gnokii --sendsms 14154208800

Capital Xs at the beginning of each ten characters.

I should note that I am on version 0.6.8.

I don't think a line break is an extra byte. If you don't want a line
break, do not send it in the input.

take care,
