YES. You can configure SMSD in file mode.  Create a script(Bash/Perl/Python)  to scan the directroy of incomming SMSs, do whatever you want (HTTP Request/Response) in the script, post the return SMS in the SMS outbox directory.

Subject: Handle HTTP Requests
Hi,
With Gnokii, Is it possible to pass a value contained in a received SMS to a web script and reply the sender back with results received from the web script, using SMS? (Send HTTP requests)

Thanks

Best Regards,

 praveen
