>From what I can see in my my archives
-sftp access respects g+s and behaves as expected
-filesystem access does not respect g+s when creating ++revision-lock and 
 the +contents dir inside, using umask 0002. It looks like a bug.

sftp looks safe and direct filesystem access looks buggy
