That *did* exist as intentional behaviour until patch... err, patch...
oh, hell.
Seems the patch backing that change out has been sitting on my laptop
for a week (maybe more) uncommitted.
It's in now, as patch-61 -- and as an extra benefit, it's had heavier
testing than most versions in the -experimental line. Rebuild your cache
(with -b) before using it.
