Subject: [Gnu-arch-users] [BUG] unhelpful error message when trying to register-archive an archive over HTTP without .listing files

$ tla make-archive address@hidden /home/b/bleher/public_html/arch/test
$ tla register-archive -f
webdav error: 404 Not Found

$ echo "it sure does" > 
$ tla archive-fixup -A address@hidden
$ tla register-archive -f
Registering archive: address@hidden

I think tla should try to access another archive file (say
.archive-version) to see if there was an archive and adjust the error
message accordingly.
(Something like: "cannot access archive because .listing-files are

It would be helpful if people wouldn't make sweeping generalizations
all the time.
