$ cat .arch-params/\=locations/address@hidden
arch/2004-cpc
$ tla register-archive -f address@hidden ~/arch/2004-cpc
did the trick; it was a relative, needed to be absolute, location.
BTW, would escaping ~ (as in "\~/arch/2004-cpc") work as expected?
