Well, I can tell you what my reason is.  None of the other information
varies in a particularly useful way from line to line.  Revision
number, date, and summary describe _patches_, and how they vary across
_lines_ has never been useful to me.

So I don't care what the developer who introduced the annotate command
thought it was "really" for; my purpose is ascription.  (Thanks, jsyjr!)

Hey, how about an annotate command for xdelta?!  :->
