Yes.  It uses the command "rm -r" to delete directories, so the rm
command must exist on your operating system.

The "rm" command exists on the following operating systems:

(1) Unix
(2) Gnu
(3) Gnu/Linux
(4) Cygwin (Windows XP) and possibly Windows NT
(5) DJGPP (Windows 95 and Windows 98)

I could write a Lisp version of the "rm" command so that the "rm"
command is not needed.  Do you want me to do this?
