the debian-based pureos which would be as redundant if only the
debian-based gnewsense were up to date

one really must tip their hat to dragora and guixsd for doing everything
independently - they may not be as bleeding edge as some others but the
extra effort in differentiating themselves is admirable - as well to
connochaetos and any others maintaining 32-bit x86 ports which is
becoming a rarity in the distro-sphere and those supporting ARM such as
parabola - the demand for these "exotic" ports should not be
underestimated so it is good that they are being represented however
painstakingly by such relatively small dev teams

the upshot is that overall, it seems there has been an increase in
activity on libre distros over the past year which can only be seen as
positive indicator that the appeal of 100% FOSS computing is growing

BTW in case anyone has not heard this, dragora after a long hiatus has
been very busy the past few months working on their next release
