It is rude to call our packages useless, it is unfriendly and unkind
to those that work on them. Please don't do that. You might not have
a usage for them, but the person who wrote it clearly found a use for
it, including the GNU project that accepted that it is part of the GNU
project.
Wether a package is to be decomissioned, or some how made obsolete is
up to the package maintainer, and St. IGNUcius. It is not done based
on what Debian includes.
