Statistics now <https://gitlab.com/makhlaghi/gnuastro/commit/29d7e46bf3f>
applies this concept and works equally well on images (of any dimension) or
table columns. Many new features have now also been added to it thanks to
`gal_data_t' and adding any new statistical calculation is very easy with the
infra-structure that is now in place.
Thanks to these new features, you can do many (currently basic) calculations
on a dataset/table directly on the shell without having to go into some
higher-level programming environment! So it is very convenient. It even makes
ASCII histograms for a crude feeling of hte data :-)!
Statistics can now act as a model for the other programs to work to complete
this task.
